Christian Reimann was born in 1975 in Bavaria, Germany, where he spent his first 20 years. He started sketching different things as kid and never stopped doing so. During his studies as civil engineer in the small, baltic city of Wismar he squeezed into the courses for nude sketching offered to architecture students and fell in love with the different expressions of this topic. In 2010 - in the meantime working as civil engineer in the chemical industry in Bremen - he initiated an open group for sketching the live nude (visited by an ever changing group of about 5-8 sketching artists and almost 20 models of every sex in an age from 20-75 years) and when starting with different handprinting techniques in 2015 soon the human form was part of his work. It is always exciting to see that neither age nor sex or weight are making a person beautiful but only the self-confidence and acceptance of oneself...
Printing techniques are his favourite style as they offer a long lasting concentration on one motive and the manual creation of multiple artworks forming an edition of the same motive with each single print being unique. Slight (or even massive) changes in color and printing intensity are not purely matter of random but consciously intended during the production on Reimaennchen's art. After falling in love with handprinting after some first ties in 2015 soon there were several hundred pieces made and - taking part at several printing workshops - he also tried etching with several upcycling matierials, using empty tetra paks or used CDs as block. Some testes were given to the "Kitchen Lithograhy", but until now there are only a few acceptable results. More effective is his experience with Cyanotype printing, a technique being part of the fine handprinting techniques, but really being a photographic technology invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842 (and forgotten soon afterwards). For his erotic motives created with this unique medium Christian Reimann had to improvise, as he is not really a professional photographer. So he uses Artificial Intelligence to form negatives her transfers to the one-of-a-kind series of blue pictures (sometimes toned sepia using green tea).
Since 2016 he takes part in several group shows and has had at least one individual show of his work each year. Spaces for exhibitions had a range from public schools to private galleries and from a historic Jerusalem-Panorama (Altötting) to Europe`s largest Erotic Boutique.
